I grew up in San Francisco's Presidio and Orange County,
California. There were frequent trips to the California coast,
Yosemite/Yellowstone and the traditional summer vacation visits
to relatives in Kentucky which nurtured my love for the outdoors
and nature. (For which I have my parents to thank).
I wanted to capture the beauty and emotion I felt with these
encounters and I soon picked up the camera to document my
sojourns with nature. I hope that in your viewing of my images,
they evoke in you the splendor and beauty that is all around us; if
we just take a moment to look and listen. One day while at San
Diego's Sea World I came across a plaque where the words
resonated within me a truth.
“For in the end, we will conserve only what we love, love only what
we understand and understand only what we are taught.”
Take the time to enjoy what we have been blessed with from
Mother Nature, for one day we may blink and it will be gone...
